Profile

Pelivan Transit is owned and operated by Grand Gateway EDA. This rural public transportation system has been in operation since 1985. Today, Pelivan Transit has formed consortiums with ten tribes (Cherokee Nation, Eastern Shawnee, Miami, Modoc, Ottawa, Peoria, Quapaw, Seneca-Cayuga, Shawnee, and Wyandotte) to also provide tribal transit services in conjunction to the rural public transportation services. Demand response curb-to-curb transportations services are provided to the cities and surrounding counties of Claremore/Rogers County, Grove/Delaware County, Miami/Ottawa, Owasso/northern Tulsa, Pryor/Mayes, and Vinita/Craig County. Over 25 routes provide employment transportation and also link intercity connections together for riders needing to travel from city to city for healthcare, shopping, employment and recreation. Feeder bus routes and work routes also provide intercity connections to Jefferson and Greyhound bus lines along with the airports at Tulsa, OK, Joplin, MO, and Fayetteville, AR. Multiple agencies and Veterans Transportation collaborations are also available to serve the communities in northeastern Oklahoma within the Pelivan Transit service territory.

OPERATING SCHEDULE
Mon-Fri: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (Cities of Grove, Miami, Owasso, Pryor and Vinita)
Mon-Sat: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (Claremore)
Closed Holidays unless contracted for certain services.
FARE SCHEDULE (one way)
City limits and Rural Zone (2 miles beyond city limits):
Older Americans 60 and over, Students K-6th Grade $2:00
4 to 59 years (Infants to toddlers 3 free) $2.50 one way
Established Work and Intercity Connection Routes $ .50 to $2.00 depending on Route
Variable Distance Fares: $1.50/mile
Verified Tribal Citizens may have reduced fares as subsidized by a tribal transit grant. Contact the Dispatch Centers for rates. Punch Cards available (Purchase 10 rides and get 11th ride free).
