This rural public transportation system has been in operation since 1985. Today, Pelivan Transit has formed consortiums with ten tribes (Cherokee Nation, Eastern Shawnee, Miami, Modoc, Ottawa, Peoria, Quapaw, Seneca-Cayuga, Shawnee, and Wyandotte) to also provide tribal transit services in conjunction to the rural public transportation services. Demand response curb-to-curb transportations services are provided to the cities and surrounding counties of Claremore/Rogers County, Grove/Delaware County, Miami/Ottawa, Owasso/northern Tulsa, Pryor/Mayes, and Vinita/Craig County. Over 25 routes provide employment transportation and also link intercity connections together for riders needing to travel from city to city for healthcare, shopping, employment and recreation. Feeder bus routes and work routes also provide intercity connections to Jefferson and Greyhound bus lines along with the airports at Tulsa, OK, Joplin, MO, and Fayetteville, AR. Multiple agencies and Veterans Transportation collaborations are also available to serve the communities in northeastern Oklahoma within the Pelivan Transit service territory.
