Figure 4E-1. Typical Pedestrian Signal Indications
This figure illustrates two examples of typical pedestrian signal indications as they would appear to persons facing the indications.
The first example, One Section (Solid Symbol), shows a solid orange upraised hand symbol and a solid white walking person symbol. Both symbol indications are contained within a single signal section rectangular-shaped housing, with the upraised hand on the left side and the walking person on the right.
The second example, Two Section, shows a two-section signal face, with each of the two sections being rectangular in shape and the two sections vertically aligned. The solid orange symbol of an upraised hand is shown in the top section and the solid white symbol of a walking person is shown in the bottom section.
