Primary Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive initial training program for new Roadway Design employees.

Provide supplemental training for established Roadway Design personnel.

Develop technical training courses for Roadway Design personnel and coordinate with other ODOT divisions to determine effective cross training courses.

Evaluate training aids from outside sources.

Partner with Vo-Tech CADD Instructors to develop civil engineering related course work for their students.

Review data from construction change orders database to evaluate and correct plan errors, to evaluate consultant plans and to use in performance measures for Roadway Design personnel.

Assist in identifying and creating new construction plan policies and procedures.

Maintain training records of all Roadway Design personnel.

Conduct normal design squad duties for any overflow projects as required by the Division Engineer.
