"Work Zone Safety: We're All in This Together"

Be Alert - Stay Focused - Stay Informed - Keep Safe

Work Zone Awareness week events are held across the nation to educate drivers about work zone safety and to remember the motorists and workers who have lost their lives in work zone collisions. There have been a total of 56 ODOT workers killed in the line of duty, more than any other state agency. Overall in 2012, 16 people were killed and 838 were injured in 1,431 motor vehicle collisions in work zones statewide, the greatest amount of injuries and third highest number of work zone collisions in the last decade.
