I-40 Bridge Hit Update

* After moving the barge, crews used sonar along the river bottom to look for remaining vehicles. None were found and work continued. The Oklahoma Department of Civil Emergency Management and the Coast Guard were present.

* ODOT has been advised by the Coast Guard that traffic along the waterway has resumed.

* Crews continue to work on the removal of steel and concrete portions of the remaining span and pier in the river.

ODOT will continue daily updates through Friday, June 14. Because ODOT is moving into the next phase and significant progress will not be as evident, Public Affairs will begin posting weekly updates Wednesday, June 19.
