ROAD CLOSURE MEETING
SH-48 in Creek County, OK

     The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) is considering improvements to the SH-48 bridge over the Cimarron River, just North of Mannford, OK. The project is currently scheduled to be let for construction in 2017, and due to several factors determined in preliminary engineering, ODOT currently plans to close the bridge and approach roadway during construction. It is anticipated that the road closure will last approximately 180 days, with incentives to reduce the closure time. Once the project is let for construction, information on the actual date of closure and duration of closure can be obtained from the ODOT Field Division at (918) 838-9933.

     A public meeting to present initial project information and receive public input regarding the closure will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16th at the Mannford Senior Center, 169 Greenwood Ave., Mannford, OK 74044. The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public and solicit comments about the Department's proposed bridge project.
