The Oklahoma Department of Transportation announces a minor modification to its Preferred Alternative alignment for the US-81 West Bypass of Chickasha. The modification is a result of comments and concerns expressed at and/or subsequent to the public meeting held in July 2013. The modification involves a minor westward shift of the originally proposed preferred alignment between Idaho and County Club, along with necessary transitions back to the previous preferred alignment south of County Club and north of Idaho. A formal meeting will not be conducted, however transportation officials are asking for additional public comment. Notice of the modification is reaching the public through the mail and media.
