Public Involvement Meeting

SUBJECT:

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) proposes to improve SH-4 from SH-66 north 6.63 miles to SH-3 (NW Expressway) in Yukon and Oklahoma City. Proposed improvements include widening to 4-lanes from SH-66 north 0.5 mile and constructing a new 2-lane facility with paved shoulders on a new alignment to the west. The purpose of the project is to improve safety through the provision of shoulders and other design features along the roadway.

As part of our efforts to keep the public informed of this project and involved in the decision-making process, ODOT has scheduled a public meeting. The meeting will include a presentation about the proposed improvements to SH-4 including why the improvements are needed, the type of improvements proposed, and the expected impacts to motorists and the surrounding community. The purpose for the meeting is to obtain information from the public to further assist in the identification of critical social, economic and environmental effects that may result from the project.
