Public Meeting

SUBJECT:

The purpose of the meeting is to keep the public informed of the proposed improvements and obtain information to further assist in the identification of critical social, economic and environmental effects that may result from the proposed project. The meeting will include a presentation about the improvements to SH-136 including why they are needed, the type proposed, and the expected impacts to motorists and the surrounding community.

The proposed improvements include options for widening the roadway, correcting curves on the existing alignment or constructing a new roadway on a new alignment. The purpose of the project is to improve travel conditions and correct issues resulting from four existing curves.

An average of 880 vehicles travel this section of SH-136 daily.
