The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is proposing to improve the three interchanges at US- 169/SH-51, US-169/I-44, and I-44/SH-51. See figure of project area. The proposed improvements consist of revised interchange geometrics and ramp configurations. The purpose of the project is to improve traffic operations and replace outdated infrastructure at the interchanges.

A series of three neighborhood public meetings to present initial project information and receive public input will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on January 29, 30, and 31, 2008 at the Skelly Elementary School Auditorium, 2940 S. 90th E. Avenue, Tulsa.

US-169 / I-44 (January 30 meeting date)
I-44 / SH-51 (January 31 meeting date)

The meetings will include a presentation about the background on the proposed improvements to the interchanges and related ramps, why the improvements are needed, and the impacts to motorists and the surrounding community. The purpose of the meeting is to obtain information from the public regarding the improvements to the interchanges, identify the traffic movements critical to the operation of the interchanges, and to assist in the identification of critical social, economic and environmental effects that may result from the project.
