Salaries are Market Competitive:

ODOT reviews salaries regularly to stay competitive with local and regional salaries. If you are performing well, you may expect career progressions with pay increases each of your first three (3) years. Once the level of Engineer Intern Level V is obtained, you must pass the Professional Engineers' examination for the next career progression.

Longevity Pay:

Once you have been employed with ODOT for two years, you will receive a longevity payment of $250. This is an annual payment which increases every two years.
Example:

  • 10 years of service = $1062 longevity payment
  • 11 years of service = $1062 longevity payment
  • 12 years of service = $1250 longevity payment

Sign-on Bonus:

ODOT offers a sign-on bonus. You are required to work one year or refund the bonus on a prorated basis.

For information on pay bands, please consult the Office of Personnel Management pay bands web page. (Pay bands are listed in the Job Descriptions as Salary Bands.)
