Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C 12131)

No qualified individual with a disability shall, by reason of such disability, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination by department, agency, special purpose district, or other instrumentality of a State or local government.


Age Discrimination Act of 1975(42 U.S.C. 6101)

"No person shall on the basis of AGE, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance."


1973 Federal Aid Highway Act (23 U.S.C 324)

"No person shall on the grounds of SEX be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal assistance under this title or carried on under this title."


Section 504 of 1973 Rehabilitation Act (29 U.S.C. 790)

"No QUALIFIED HANDICAPPED PERSON shall, solely by reason of his handicap, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity that receives or benefits from Federal financial assistance."

The Uniform Act, passed by Congress in 1970, is a federal law that establishes minimum standards for federally funded programs and projects that require the acquisition of real property (real estate) or displace persons from their homes, businesses, or farms. The Uniform Act’s protections and assistance apply to the acquisition, rehabilitation, or demolition of real property for federal or federally funded projects
